Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Unless Zero State provides prior written authorization, the Software may not be used as training data, fine-tuning data, evaluation data, retrieval corpus material, embedding source material, synthetic-data source material, or other input for developing, training, tuning, benchmarking, or improving a machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model. This restriction does not prohibit ordinary automated tools used solely to inspect, build, test, secure, or operate the Software on behalf of an authorized user where the Software is not retained or incorporated into a model or dataset beyond what is technically necessary to provide that service. ## 5. Agents and Automated Systems No autonomous agent, software agent, crawler, scraper, coding agent, or other automated system receives rights greater than those granted to the person or organization operating it. Use of an automated system to access the Software does not grant permission to reproduce, retain, redistribute, commercialize, train upon, or create derivative works from the Software. ## 6. Contributions Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, submission of code, documentation, designs, or other material to Zero State does not transfer ownership of Zero State's pre-existing intellectual property. Zero State may require contributors to execute a Contributor License Agreement, intellectual-property assignment, work-for-hire agreement, or other written agreement before accepting a contribution. Acceptance of a contribution does not change the licensing status of this repository. ## 7. Third-Party Components The Software may incorporate libraries, packages, assets, datasets, or other materials governed by separate licenses. Those materials remain subject to their respective licenses. Nothing in this License restricts rights that a recipient independently possesses under a valid third-party license. Where this License conflicts with a valid license governing a third-party component, the third-party license governs that component only. ## 8. Commercial Licensing Commercial, deployment, redistribution, modification, integration, OEM, white-label, hosted-service, or other rights may be available under a separate written agreement with Zero State. Permission granted for one repository, product, customer, project, or use case does not imply permission for another. ## 9. Confidential and Trade Secret Information This License does not authorize disclosure or use of Zero State confidential information or trade secrets. Access to confidential or private repositories may be subject to additional agreements, including nondisclosure agreements, employment agreements, contractor agreements, customer agreements, or statements of work. ## 10. Trademarks This License does not grant permission to use the names "Zero State," "Zero State LLC," associated product names, logos, marks, trade dress, branding, or other source identifiers except as necessary for truthful identification of the Software. No use may imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, affiliation, or approval by Zero State without prior written authorization. ## 11. Patents No patent license is granted under this License except where Zero State expressly grants such rights in a separate written agreement. ## 12. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZERO STATE AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS LICENSE. ## 14. Termination Any permission granted under this License terminates automatically upon material violation of its terms. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available to Zero State arising from conduct occurring before or after termination. Sections concerning ownership, restrictions, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and enforcement survive termination. ## 15. No Open-Source Grant This License is a proprietary license. The Software is not licensed as open-source software merely because its source code can be viewed, accessed through a repository hosting service, or otherwise inspected. No permission granted by this License should be interpreted as satisfying the requirements of an open-source license. ## 16. Repository Hosting Platforms Where the Software is hosted by GitHub or another repository hosting provider, access to and operation of the hosting platform may also be governed by that provider's terms. Nothing in this License is intended to revoke rights that Zero State must grant to the hosting provider or its users solely to the extent necessary for functionality expressly authorized by the applicable hosting-platform terms. Any use beyond those platform-specific rights remains subject to this License. ## 17.
